BRITTNEY NELSON
OWNER/INTERIOR DESIGNER
Brit has an odd and wonderful path to starting this design firm at 39 years old. After her husband was discharged from the US NAVY and while her children were small, she went to school at Notre Dame for business management and international gender studies. For years she worked as a domestic abuse victim advocate. Brit is a published makeup artist and creative director with over 20 years working with models, brides, designers, event planners and everyone in-between. She graduated from The New York Institute of Art and Design in Interior Design in 2021 and is both RIDCQ certified and a proud member of the American Designer Association ADA and National Kitchen and Bath Association NKBA.
Although the core team is Brit, Jax, and her studio manager Kimberly, we have an an incredible collection of people dedicated to each project we take on. Tradesmen, contractors, landscape architects, roofers, etc. From our courier, Megan to Griffin, our floral designer, we know the best of the best to attend to every little detail of your project!
Kimberly VonAlmen
Studio Manager
Our Studio Manager, Kimberly brings a fresh, creative mind to our studio. A graduate of the University of South Carolina, she has worked as a Marketing Director for multiple industries for 15 years. Now as a part of our team, she is always up to something and working tirelessly to keep Brit Nelson Interiors moving smoothly! Kimberly relocated from Nashville, TN to North Augusta, SC in 2013, where she lives with her husband, Brent, and daughters, Ellen and Sadie Louise. Two doodle dogs, Theo and Sheriff Brown Dog round out her full house and a busy schedule!

Drafter/ Installer
Our “Jax Of All Trades” has a lot of experience both physically and intellectually under his tool belt. He is a US NAVY Veteran and ran the nuclear reactor on the USS Maine submarine for 6 years. He taught nuclear energy at Plant Vogtle Units 3/4 using his Nuclear Engineering degree for 12 years. He currently works at Ameresco at SRS. Back in Washington his family are engineers, potato farmers, and dirt bike riders. If it needs to be fixed any one of them could do it with their eyes closed. His engineering mind is a blessing for drafting in tandem with Brit and his obsession with perfection is exactly what we want to lead install days.
