the brit nelson experience
How We Work
From the initial consultation to the final reveal, Brit Nelson Interiors is committed to transforming your space into a sanctuary that truly reflects who you are. We are regimented with our process as we have learned what works best for both our clients and us. We KNOW it’s a lot of steps. But, isn’t everything worthwhile? The way we do things is what sets us apart from other designers. Let us create a space where memories are made, laughter is shared, and love is continually nurtured. Welcome to a home that is uniquely, wonderfully yours.

You fill out your questionnaire. We have a call to see if we are a good fit. Then we meet with you at your land or home or wherever works best (1 hour billed at $150) for a true consultation and you tell us everything you are dreaming about for your project.
-
Introduction to Design files where agreements are sent and signed, design fees collected and we start on our mood boards. We have a family lunch to get to know each other. After lunch we start the real work - In home design meeting and cultivating the perfect team to bring your vision to life.
-
This is where our design work really gets underway. This can take anywhere between 2 weeks to 90 days depending on your scope of work. Of course, we will be in touch, but we are getting ready for your presentation and accepting bids from the tradespeople who make the magic happen.
-
Please join us at The Pinnacle Club for your design presentation. Here we will review budgets, feedback or revisions and confirm work to begin. Invoicing to be taken care to move forward.
-
Off to the races! Work is officially underway, Everything has been purchased and scheduled. Prepare yourself for this to be the long haul of your project! Everything else moves a lot faster before the work starts- but now is when our preparing and planning shines! We appreciate your grace through the labor intensive parts of your project.
-
We do weekly check-ins with your crew or accept delivery of furniture and goods depending on your job. We execute an installation day and reveal your home to you!
*As much as we'd love it to be like TV, most homes are done with you very much involved so you might not need a 'reveal day' which is also good in its own way.
